About The Hanna SPCA
The Hanna SPCA was founded in February 2005. Our organization did not have a facility to house the animals at that time and had to rely entirely on foster homes. In June of 2009, we moved into our current location. Today, we proudly serve Hanna and the surrounding areas, caring for pets waiting to find their forever homes.
We are a "small" shelter with a "big" heart, operated solely by our outstanding volunteers and funded by donations from generous community members.
During this difficult time, we are more dependent on donations than ever before. If you can, please give a gift to the Hanna SPCA today. Any amount will help make a difference, ensuring vulnerable pets keep on getting the love and care they deserve.
The Hanna SPCA's goal is connecting animals and people through advocacy, education and community engagement.
To be a model of excellence in the advancement of animal welfare.
The Hanna SPCA enriches the lives of people and companion animals through animal sheltering, programs and services, and community engagement.
We value the compassionate care of companion animals.
We value the humane treatment of all animals.
We value our volunteers and our board of directors.
We value our relationships with our partners and supporters.
We value our role as a recognized community leader in animal welfare.
We value fiscal responsibility and careful stewardship of our resources.
The Hanna SPCA is dedicated to the promotion of welfare and dignity for companion and feral animals. We strive to end their suffering by encouraging a caring, responsible society. We provide a wide range of services necessary to meet the needs of the animals and to fulfill our mandate as the principal animal welfare program for Hanna and District. We promote a friendly and supportive service within the society. We are an open admission shelter and strive to provide leadership and support in the development of animal care services and programs in conjunction with other affiliated animal groups.
